World Max 2004 Tournament Final Update
July 7, 2004 Yoyogi Stadium Tokyo, Japan
K-1 has named K-1 Max veteran Yasuhiro Kazuya as Kid Yamamoto's opponent for the July 7th card. The bout will take place under K-1 mixed rules - Four rounds with odd number rounds being under K-1 rules while even number rounds being under K-1 MMA rules. Gloves and referee have not been determined yet. If no winner has been decided after four rounds, the bout will be declared a draw. Also, K-1 Max veteran Ohno Takashi will open up the event against kickboxing champion Vincent Swaans (?) in a K-1 rules bout. All other bouts are three rounds lasting three minutes each round with one overtime round if needed. The tournament final will have a two round overtime if needed.
