Jose Benavidez (7-0, 7 KOs) wins by knockout at 1:19 of the first round over Josh Beeman (4-7-3, 2 KOs)

In the first round, Beeman downed with a right, left combo to the body and couldn't get up and was counted

out.

 

Featherweight Bout (8 Rds)

Tomas Villa (23-7-4, 14 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Salvador Sanchez (19-4-2, 9 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 77-75, 79-73, 78-74 for Villa.

 

Texas Jr. Bantamweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Raul Martinez (27-1, 16 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:00 of the 7th rd over Gabriel Elizondo (22-4-1, 10 KOs)

In the fifth round, Elizondo downed from a straight right (up right away). As the bell rang to end the sixth

round, Elizondo downed with a left hook - Elizondo got up at the count of five to end the round but was on

wobbly legs. In the seventh round, Martinez landed an overhand right that sent Elizondo down and the ref

immediately jumped in to stop the bout.

 

Super Lightweight Bout (10 Rds)

Marco Antonio Barrera (68-7,  43 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Adilton DeJesus (26-4, 21 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 100-90, 98-92, 99-91 for Barrera.

 

WBC Middleweight Silver Title Bout (12 Rds)

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over John Duddy (29-2, 18 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 120-108, 116-112, 117-111 for Chavez. Duddy was stunned many times through out

the fight but never went down and fought back as best he could - showed tremendous heart (and also was

able to stun Chavez once) - great fight.
