Towards the end of the eighth round, Recio downed with a short left hook (up at the count of seven) and was

saved by the bell (the ref was ready to stop the bout after the bell rang but realized the bell had rung and the

fight continued). In the ninth round, Jimenez was all over Recio and the ref had seen enough and stopped the

bout.
