Eddie Gomez (5-0, 4 KOs) wins by TKO at 2:04 of the first round over Jonuel Tapia (8-2, 5 KOs)

In the first round, Tapia downed with an overhand left (up at the count of eight). The fight resumed and after a

brief exchange, Tapia had a delayed reaction to a left hook and went to a knee and the ref stopped the bout.

Jayson Velez (16-0, 12 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Carlos Valcarcel (12-3-4, 5 KOs) - Judges

scored the bout 97-93, 96-94, 96-94 for Velez.

 

Lightweight Bout (4 Rds)

Braulio Santos (3-0, 3 KOs) wins by TKO at :39 of the second round over Nelson Casanova (1-6, 1 KO)

In the first round, Santos downed with a straight left (up right away). The fight resumed and towards the end

of the round, Casanova downed with a right uppercut followed by another right (up at the count of five). In the

second round, Casanova had a delayed reaction to a left to the body (and absorbed a few extra punches

before going down) - up right away but wobbly. The fight resumed and Santos quickly went on the attack -

and to his credit, Casanova exchanged punches with Santos but Casanova got tagged with a straight right

that put him down and the ref quickly jumped in to stop the fight.

 

Super Lightweight Bout (6 Rds)

Albert Cruz Jr. (8-2, 7 KOs) wins by KO at 2:59 of the second round over Christopher Rivera (3-8, 1 KO)

In the second round, Rivera had a delayed reaction to a left to the body (and absorbed a few extra punches

before going down) and took the 10 count.

 

Lightweight Bout (4 Rds)

Edgardo Lopez (2-0, 2 KOs) wins by knockout at 2:13 of the second round over Felix Rivera (0-3)

In the first minute of the second round, Lopez downed with a right (up at the count of eight but wobbly). The

fight resumed and Rivera tried to finish Lopez off but couldn't. And in the final minute of the round, Lopez

came back and nailed Rivera with a right hook, left uppercut combo that sent Rivera face first onto the

canvas causing the ref to quickly wave the fight over.
