Franco Ready For Return

May 21, 2011

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa

Cabazon, California

Riverside, CA. -

After a slow 2010 year where Michael "Lil Warrior" Franco saw action only once, he will now be stepping

back in the ring for the second time this year when he faces Jose Angel Baranza from the Morongo Casino

Resort & Spa on Saturday May 21st.

In his last outing on February 25th the power puncher disposed of Martin Armenta in 4 rounds but suffered

a cut over his left eye doing so.

"the guy was awkward, he was all over the place, I was headed butted a few times times before I was cut,

but my team did a great job of not just stopping the blood but of closing the wound. I don't have any scar

tissue and it shouldn't be a problem again".

Fighting at the Morongo Casino is a familiar place for the Lil Warrior and it will be a treat for many of his fans

who have not seen him in the ring locally since 2009 when he stopped former Two-time World Champion

Kermin Guardia in the 8th and final round.

"I'm excited, I can't wait to get back in the ring especially from the Morongo Casino, it is a great place to

fight. The fans and even the Tribel members are very supportive, I want to make sure that I please them by

giving them a great fight and I am happy to be fighting again, I look forward to a busy year".

A total of eight bouts are scheduled for this event which is being promoted by Top Rank Promotions in

Association with The Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and will air on FOX Deportes.

Doors open at 4:00PM and the first bout is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM. Tickets are reasonably priced at

$35-$50 & $75 for the best seats in the house and can be purchased by calling Ticket Masters or the Casino

ticket office at (888) MORONGO.
