Ultimate Force Update

New Venue

April 30, 2005

Sheffield Octagon Centre

Western Bank, Sheffield, S10 2TQ, UK

Special Thanks go out to Ian Dean and Cagewarriors.com for the following article:

Cagewarriors Ultimate Force, the new and exciting Cagewarriors Northern Franchise has been forced to

move to the Sheffield Octagon Centre on the 30th April, due to the Xs!te Centre (part of the Xscape Centre)

being refused a fire certificate.

Due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, Cagewarriors: Ultimate Force will not be taking place at

the Xscape centre in Castleford as originally announced. Instead it will now be taking place at the Sheffield

Octagon Centre which has previously held Cagewarriors 8, 9 and Cagewarriors Quest. We apologize for the

inconvenience this has caused and will do everything in our power to ensure this event runs as smoothly as

possible. There are plans afoot to coach people who have purchased VIP tables to the Octagon centre in an

effort to minimized the disruption caused and Cagewarriors management will be hiring extra catering and bar

staff.

The reason for the change was due to the brand new Xsite centre receiving a Magistrates visit on Monday in

which it was refused a fire certificate and meant that it was not allowed to be opened to the public. It was

hoped that this could be rectified with a return visit but Cagewarriors.com has just learnt that this is not

possible until the 5th of May. This has resulted in the venue’s opening being delayed and Cagewarriors

officials were left with the dilemma of either cancelling the show or finding another venue. (For an official

press release by the Xsite management team please go to http://www.cagewarriors.com/page.asp?ID=919)

The Cagewarriors Fighting Championships are naturally disappointed by this situation as we were given

numerous reassurances from the Xscape centre management that this arena would be operational by April

30th and we were only aware of a potential problem late on Wednesday. We would like to stress that we

have done everything in our power to avoid moving venues and even contacted the appropriate authorities in

order to stay at the original venue on April 30th, however, we had no success.

Normally a disaster of this magnitude would destroy a promotion or an event; however the Cagewarriors

Fighting Championships are no strangers to adversary and as a result, we were able to find another top class

venue which has previous experience in this field.

Cagewarriors now hope to offer another great night of Mixed Martial Arts at the Sheffield Octagon Centre,

which may not be as hi-tec as the Xscape centre but still offers a great view for the fans in attendance and

an intense atmosphere to boot which features Tengiz Tedorazde from nearby Barnsley in the main event

as he looks to reclaim the CWFC Heavyweight Title from the American Jeff The Snowman Monson.

Monson took the Cagewarriors Heavyweight Title off “The Barnsley Gladiator” at Cagewarriors 9 Xtreme Xmas

at the Octagon Centre last December and is now back to defend it and extend his impressive win streak to 9

fights in a row.

There will be more announcements this weekend as the Cagewarriors.com news team receive more

information on this shocking incident. So in the meantime keep logged on Cagewarriors.com for all the latest

information including an updated card as the Cagewarriors Fighting Championships get ready to present

“Ultimate Force” at the Sheffield Octagon Centre on Saturday, the 30th of April 2005.
