WBC Middleweight Title Eliminator Bout (12 Rds)
Marco Antonio Rubio (50-5-1, 43 KOs) wins by TKO, 2:36, 7th rd over David Lemieux (25-1, 24 KOs)
In the seventh round, after weathering Lemieux's storm in the early rounds, Rubio wore down Lemieux -
catching Lemieux with an overhand right that sent Lemieux down into the corner (holding onto the ropes so
he wouldn't hit the canvas) - got a standing eight. The fight resumed and Rubio was just peppering Lemieux
with hard shots causing Lemieux's corners to step onto the ring to stop the bout.
