Light Heavyweight Bout (10 Rds)

Yordanis Despaigne (9-1, 5 KOs) wins by DQ at :45 of the 5th rd over Edison Miranda (34-6, 29 KOs)

At the end of the second round, Miranda penalized a point for a low blow after the bell - Despaigne went

down convincingly (replay showed the blow was at the belt line). In the third round, Miranda penalized a point

for a low blow (right on the cup). In the fifth round, Miranda was disqualified for landing another low blow.

 

Light Heavyweight Bout (6 Rds)

Badou Jack (7-0, 6 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:31 of the second round over Timothy Hall (6-12, 4 KOs)

In the second round, Hall downed with a right to the body (up at the count of nine). The fight continued and

Jack went on the offensive and peppered Hall with punches - cornering him and landing a left that sent Hall

down and the ref quickly jumped in and stopped the bout.

 

IBF Jr. Welterweight Title Elimination Bout (12 Rds)

Lamont Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KOs) wins by KO at 2:46 of the 12th round over Victor Cayo (26-2, 18 KOs)

In the 12th round, Cayo went down from an accumulation of punches (rights) and took the 10 count.

Peterson now the mandatory challenger for IBF Jr. Welterweight champion Amir Khan.
