Seven Bout Boxing & MMA Card Highlight

Historic Fight Club OC Opening Night

A great main event will just be part of the energy that will be the Inaugural  Opening Night of Fight Club

OC on Thursday, February 24 in The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center. Announced just six weeks

ago, the response to Fight Club OC has been huge with season seat renewals and new season seats orders

up and eight of the 10 All Inclusive Luxury Suites already sold! After 26 years of fight action at the Irvine

Marriott's Battle In The Ballroom, it looks like the move of Orange County's only fight series will not miss a

beat! So for all OC fight fans waiting to see this new series the wait is over, as tickets to the Opening Night

of Fight Club OC on February 24, go on sale at 9am Tuesday morning, February 1 at www.fightcluboc.com

In what might be one of the most anticipated opening nights in recent Orange County sports history, the

new 1,500 seat venue The Hangar will feature some fan amenities normally only reserved for large arenas

and stadiums: A 40' video screen and digital projectors, a state of the art sound system, 12 person Luxury

Suites that include all food and beverages, a 30'x30 lighting truss hung over the ring, a special VIP parking

area and venue entrance, and a separate Happy Hour restaurant right next to The Hangar.

And while all these perks will add to the enjoyment of those in attendance, fans are really there for some

great fight action and they won't be disappointed, as matchmaker Whit Haydon has outdone himself putting

together a great seven bout card featuring five pro boxing bouts and two pro mixed martial arts bouts. The

show has a combined fighters win/loss record of 70 wins and only 29 loses....so when Fight Club OC states

FIGHTS GUARANTEED they mean it!

In the featured bout of the night, popular Southland jr welterweights with almost identical records do battle in

what will be a very meaningful eight round main event. Hector Serrano 13-1,5KO battles 14-1, 8KO Aris

Ambris in what is by all means a true crossroads bout by its very definition. Both share losses to the very

tough southpaw Jose Reynoso in 2010. Serrano and Ambriz will be fighting to see which will remain a player

at the 140 pound weight.

Fans won't want to miss Texas cruiserweight and Dallas metro area cult-hero Brent Urban (6-3,4KO) who

is set to meet LA's Joseph Jones (4-3,2KO) in a four rounder. Urban exploded on the California scene in

March of 2010 with a dramatic first round KO of then undefeated former Olympian Emad Ali. In a style that

can best be described as that of a barroom brawler, fireworks are the only certainty about Urban's fights.

MMA action will see four solid mixed martial arts fighters mix it up with Huntington Beach's Carlos Garces

(5-4) taking on Isaac Gutierrez (4-3), and in the other mma bout Irvine's 1-0 Luis Salgado meets Miami's

1-1 Ozzie Alvarez.

In what was the fight of the night this past December at the Marriott, former University of Miami running back

Quadtrine Hill (31, 1KO) now training out of the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood will face tough Arizona

heavyweight Chad Davis. Hill a southpaw, has been steadily improving with every outing, and has won two

straight after a last second knockout lost to Yohan Banks last September.

Undefeated and hot prospect Oscar Andrade will put his perfect 4-0,2KO record on the line against LA

veteran 4-5,1KO Manuel Delcid. Andrade is an all action fighter, who scored a July win over Ramon

Valadez on a Golden Boy show at Club Nokia that many called the club fight of the year! Rounding out the

seven bout card will the tough young 1-0 Garden Grove bantamweight Danny Roman.

Tickets for this special Inaugural Opening Night of Fight Club OC are priced at $50, $45, and $40 and go on

sale to the public at 9am Tuesday, February 1 at www.fightcluboc.com, or by calling 949-760-3131
