Women's WBC Interim Super Bantamweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Jackie Nava (24-3-2, 11 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Fredee Gonzalez (6-7-1, 2 KOs) -

Nava retains title.

 

Middleweight Bout (10 Rds)

Saul Roman (34-8, 29 KOs) wins by TKO at 1:53 of the 2nd round over Michael Medina (24-3-2, 19 KOs)

In the second round, both men connected with wide left hooks only Roman got the worst of it and lost his

balanced - his glove briefly touched the canvas to keep himself up and got an eight count. The fight resumed.

Roman got the better of the exchanges, stunning Medina, and was able to get Medina against the ropes and

peppered him with punches. And even though Medina was fighting back, the ref had seen enough of Medina

getting hit and stopped the bout to Medina's dismay.

 

WBC Silver Middleweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Billy Lyell (22-8, 4 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 99-92, 96-94, 98-92 for Chavez - Chavez retains title.
