One of the top young stars in GC, Cody Bollinger (10-2) has his eyes set on the Gladiator Challenge 145-

pound belt. He’ll get his shot at the “Pro-Am Series,” but will face a stiff test in talented young athlete Aaron

Neveu (1-0). Bollinger is a strong wrestler with an undefeated 3-0 record in GC. Both fighters are coming off

victories at the April “Hostile” event, and will look to add some hardware to their collection on August 21st.

Robbie Peralta (14-3), former holder of the Gladiator Challenge Featherweight Championship, grabbed the

biggest victory of his career recently at "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" in April. The young slugger faced

DREAM Feathe rweight Champion Hiroyuki Takaya in a non-title affair at the event, and in the end, had his

hand raised via split-decision. It was Peralta's seventh straight victory. Riding high, and with some of the

biggest organizations in the world starting to take notice, Peralta will compete at the “Pro-Am Series” for

another GC strap. Standing in his way will be Shad Smith (11-14-2), an ultra-experienced competitor who

has faced some top names in MMA, including Duane “Bang” Ludwig, “Joe Boxer” Valenzuela, “Krazy Horse”

Bennett, Manny Tapia, Nam Phan, Toby Imada, and current UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz.

Also featured at the “Pro-Am Series” will be GC favorites Melvin Costa (7-2) and Tyson “The Ironman”

Johnson (5-2-1). Costa has knocked out his opponent in all seven of his victories, and will be looking to right

the ship after alternating a win and loss in his first two bouts of 2011. Johnson, for his part, is known as the

voice of GC, doubling as the ring announcer , but he’ll set down the mic once again to focus on performing

as a fighter at the “Pro-Am Series.”
