the bout 96-93 Duddy, 96-93 Medina, 96-93 Duddy. In the eighth round, Medina penalized a point for low

blows.

 

WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Title Bout (10 Rds)

Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs) wins by TKO, end of the 5th rd over Jose Luis Castillo (60-10-1, 52 KOs)

- Castillo's corner stopped the bout. Gomez retains title.

 

WBC Lightweight Title Bout - vacant (12 Rds)

Humberto Soto (51-7-2, 32 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over David Diaz (35-3-1, 17 KOs) - Judges

scored the bout 115-111, 117-109, 117-109 for Soto. In the first round, Diaz given a standing eight count

when his glove touched the canvas after being hit with a left hook (more off balance than hurt). In the 12th

round, Diaz downed from an accumulation of punches accented by a left hook (up right away).

 

WBO Welterweight Title Bout (12 Rds)

Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) wins a unanimous decision over Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20 KOs) -

Judges scored the bout 120-108, 119-109, 119-109 for Pacquiao - Pacquiao retains title.
