In the main event of Lion Fight Promotions “Battle In The Desert 3” card, two-time world Muay Thai

title Lumpinee Stadium champion Sakmongkol Sitchuchoke “Zingano“ (228-19) of Broomfield, Colo. via

Thailand in a middleweight (*contracted weight of 155 pounds for this bout) “Superfight.”  In addition to his

two titles, Alexandre won the coveted, annual King’s Cup tournament in Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 5,

2009.

Sitchuchoke is coming off a third round (TKO victory over James Martinez, a K-1 USA veteran and

contestant on the 2008 first season of The Contender Asia, the Mark Burnett-created reality television

series that documented 16 Muay Thai fighters from 12 different countries as they competed for a prize of

$150,000.  Sitchuchoke consistently beat Martinez to the punch throughout the matchup and broke

Martinez’s arm with repeated round kicks aimed at the head and body.

The co-main event will feature a world interim middleweight (160 pounds) title bout between explosive

champion Ky Hollenbeck (18-1) of San Francisco, Calif. and powerhouse challenger Simon Chu (29-6)
