War on the Shore Provides Thrills and Excitement under the Night Sky
The NAAFS returned once again to The Cove in Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH this past Saturday night for the 4th installment of the summertime tradition; War on the Shore. The athletes of the National Amateur Series battled it out under the night sky for an opportunity at supremacy in the defining proving ground in all of sports. The fans were treated to a night of incredible action that will leave a profound impact on the 2010 National Amateur Series season.
The main event featured the successful return of 2009 National Amateur Lightweight Champion "Bonesaw" George Comer (7-0) of Team GriffonRawl against a very game Al Pacosky (4-1) of Triple Threat MMA. Comer used a combination of his wrestling pedigree and overall mixed martial arts precision tactics to grind out a Unanimous Decision victory against the cross town rival. Once the battle was over, both fighters displayed absolute class towards one another and soaked in the adulation of the capacity crowd; but it was Comer who stood tall as the victor.
