The WBC organizes the “Night
of the Champions”
*
The World Boxing Council is
still undergoing serious financial problems due to the substantial
payments to
be done after our survival
from a crisis last year.
The world boxing community came together to help the WBC get up from the
canvas at the last second and
stand on its feet again to
continue being the world leader in professional boxing, with equal
opportunities for
everybody, impartiality, firm
adherence to its rules and regulations, and boxers’ safety.
Despite the fact that none of
its executives receives any economic compensation for their work, the
World
Boxing Council is now
considered to be stronger, more powerful, prestigious and with the highest
world
credibility as never before in
the history of international boxing.
The WBC will organize a great
event called “Night of Champions” in Mexico City in December of this year,
which will be attended by all
current world champions and an important number of ex champions such as
Muhammad Ali, George
Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran,
Julio Cesar
Chavez, Oscar De la
Hoya, and many more.
One of the highlights of such
outstanding event will be the recognition and designation of Muhammad Ali
as
the “Champion of Champions” of
all time, and the presentation of the championship belt to his daughter
Laila Ali, should she
win the WBC Women’s World Supermiddle title next Saturday, when she fights
Erin
Toughill in Washington,
D.C.
