Coleman and Carter to Attend

St. Valentine's Day Massacre!

February 18, 2011

The Palace of Auburn Hills

 Auburn Hills, Michigan

Two very special guests, UFC Hall of Famer Mark "The Hammer" Coleman and MMA Legend Shonie "Mr.

International" Carter, will be in attendance on Friday, February 18, at the Palace of Auburn Hills when

Donofrio Entertainment and Impact Fight League present St. Valentine's Day Massacre  -- a night of full-

contact professional mixed martial arts.

"February 18 was already a terrific night of the area's best professional MMA fighters facing off, but now

we've also got MMA royalty in the house," said excited promoter Joseph Donofrio.

Coleman is a former NCAA collegiate and Olympic wrestler who switched over to MMA and won the UFC 10

and UFC 11 tournaments, as well as the first Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight championship,

and the Pride Fighting Championships 2000 Open Weight Grand Prix. Known as "The Godfather of Ground

& Pound", he is widely credited with proving the ability of wrestlers to dominate in the developing sport of

mixed martial arts, and with being one of the first in American MMA to successfully use the strategy that

came to be known as ground-and-pound.

At UFC 82, Coleman was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Known for his flashy dress, colorful language, outlandish personality and use of the spinning backfist in

competition, Shonie Carter is a former World Extreme Cagefighting welterweight champion, an Ultimate

Fighting Championship veteran and was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 4 reality show.

Fighting in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre main event will be Detroit's Brendan Seguin (21-17-1)

defending his Impact Fight League Middleweight Championship against Chicago's Hector "El Toro" Urbina

"Not only will the presence of two of MMA's founding fathers be an added bonus for the fans in attendance,

but I think all the fighters on the card will be pushed that much harder by their presence," added Donofrio.
